About Us

I started this blog in 2021 while sitting at home after an injury at work. I ended up having surgery and spending three long months recovering and contemplating what my life might look like if, as a result of my injury, I might need to change the direction of my professional life after being behind a bar for 26 years. I wanted my focus to be Florida, since I'm moving there next year, and as a result, this blog was born.

Some points I'd like to share about this blog that I hope will make it regularly stand out among the many other Florida-themed travel blogs out there:

Any post for which I've been paid to write will be specified in the title. I write for my own pleasure and to share the many things and places about Florida that I find interesting. It's my hope that other people find them interesting as well, and that the information I provide is helpful as they travel. If a sponsor pays me or provides me a gift for writing an article, the title will include the words "Sponsored Post" to prevent any misunderstandings.

I will never provide anything but an honest assessment in any of my posts. Whether I'm writing simply to provide my own thoughts or because I'm being paid to write, I will not give you anything other than my honest input. I will not promote anything on this blogsite that I find to be an inferior service or product, and I won't accept any payment to promote something I don't believe in.

There will never be scrolling ads or pop-up ads on any of my blog pages. One of the things I dislike the most about blogs and online magazines are the ads that slow page loading, pop up over what I'm reading, and freeze the page so that I can't scroll forward or backward. While yes, I intend for this blogsite to be profitable, and yes, there will be sponsored advertising on this site, those types of ads will never happen here. I intend for this blogsite to always be reader-focused and reader friendly.
